Job summary

Defendify, headquartered in Portland, Maine, seeks a senior software engineer to own features end-to-end across a production cybersecurity platform. You will work with the Director of Engineering and product teams, building across backend and frontend layers, with a focus on secure, well-tested code and reliable production operations.

You'll contribute to architecture decisions, on-call support, and cross-stack integrations, applying Go and Node.js skills in a multi-language, service-oriented

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional, hands-on software engineering experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining production software and systems.
• Experience with at least one Go or Node.js, and willingness to work across both.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and ship features across our platform, with a focus on backend services, automation, and systems, while contributing across the stack as needed
• Build and maintain integrations with external services
• Design and deliver secure, well-tested, maintainable code with care expected of a cybersecurity platform
• Investigate and resolve production issues, participate in on-call support, and strengthen monitoring and reliability
• Improve tests, interfaces, observability, and operations
• Participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, and planning
