About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack, you will own meaningful parts of our platform end-to-end— from backend services and data models to the front‑end experiences teams rely on every day. You'll work with product, design, and clinical partners to ship features that improve patient flow, communication, and operational consistency, while keeping performance, privacy, and reliability at the center.

In this role, you will:

• Build and ship end-to-end features that improve the care experience for pet parents and the day-to-day workflows for clinic teams
• Own backend services and APIs, ensuring correctness, performance, and clear interfaces for product surfaces
• Develop clean, maintainable front‑end experiences with strong UX fundamentals and attention to detail
• Design data models and persistence patterns that are durable, observable, and easy to extend
• Partner cross‑functionally to define scope, make tradeoffs, and deliver high‑quality outcomes on realistic timelines
• Raise the engineering bar through code review, system design, testing discipline, and thoughtful technical leadership
• Improve platform reliability through monitoring, incident learnings, and preventative engineering
• Build with trust in mind—privacy, security, and safe handling of sensitive information by default
• Deliver full‑stack contributions across our core systems, including: internal tooling for clinic operations and staff workflows, client‑facing booking, messaging, and care‑plan experiences, integrations with external services and data sources, performance and reliability improvements across critical paths

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant backend ownership
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js experience building production services and APIs
• Experience with modern frontend development using React and TypeScript; Tailwind experience is a plus
• Hands‑on experience with MongoDB (or comparable document or relational databases) and practical data modeling skills
• Experience shipping cloud‑native systems on AWS and/or GCP, including observability and operational readiness
• Strong testing and quality practices, including unit, integration, and end‑to‑end approaches where appropriate
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments and turning requirements into shipped outcomes
