Walmart Global Tech in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own delivery of distributed services and lead architectural decisions. You will design highly available microservices, mentor engineers, and partner with product teams to translate needs into production outcomes.
The role emphasizes operating excellence, on-call ownership, telemetry, and performance tuning within a fast-moving Agile environment.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a hands‑on technical leader who designs and delivers critical distributed services, raises engineering standards, and drives operational excellence. You’ll work closely with product managers and partner teams, lead technical design discussions, and mentor engineers while owning delivery for complex features end-to-end.
The Fulfillment Engineering team is a strong, globally distributed group building and operating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for Walmart’s rapidly expanding U.S. eCommerce Fulfillment Center (FC) network. Our platforms power High Velocity Fulfillment Centers and Next Generation Automated Fulfillment Centers—among the largest and most advanced fulfillment operations in the world.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
