Job summary

Q2 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Digital Banking Fraud team. You will help build real-time, cloud-native fraud prevention services at scale, partnering with data scientists and product teams to productionize detection capabilities.

Expect modern Python services, AI-enabled engineering, and cross-team collaboration in a hybrid work setup. You will design and operate AWS-based architectures, mentor engineers, and contribute to reliability and observability across production

Qualifications

• Strong production software experience with Python and APIs.
• Cloud architecture expertise in AWS or comparable platform.
• Infra as code and modern CI/CD practices.
• Distributed, event-driven or serverless system design.
• API design, reliability, and observability expertise.
• Ability to navigate large enterprise codebases and learn new tech.
• Git-based workflows and modern Python tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate low-latency fraud prevention services and APIs.
• Deliver new fraud capabilities and improve production systems.
• Modernize Python services, patterns, tooling, and practices across the platform.
• Advance AI-assisted and agentic software engineering approaches.
• Design and operate AWS cloud-native architectures including serverless/event-driven systems.
• Integrate with enterprise banking platform and C#/.NET points.
• Improve observability, testing, deployment, and reliability.
• Collaborate with data science, product, and engineering teams to productionize fraud detection.
• Research new technologies and mentor engineers in best practices.
