Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily focused on Java.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience in lieu of degree accepted.
• Strong experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle and/or PostgreSQL; PostgreSQL Aurora and Liquibase is a plus.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar containerized environments.
• Experience with Spring Boot/JPA, Drools, and Apache Camel.
• Working knowledge of Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms, including design patterns.
• Domain-driven design concepts such as bounded contexts and aggregates.
• Designing authorization and data-access controls beyond predefined security models.
• Cloud IAM, storage, and CDN architectures using AWS IAM, S3, CloudFront, or equivalents.
• Next.js, React, and TypeScript with micro-frontend architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop domain models, bounded contexts, aggregates, and shared terminology using domain-driven design.
• Build and maintain services with Spring Boot, JPA, PostgreSQL Aurora, Liquibase for card-network integration.
• Design workflows and routing with Apache Camel for complex processes.
• Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka and schema design.
• Create independently deployable micro-frontend apps using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Own OAuth2/OIDC identity architecture and token management.
• Govern AWS IAM, S3, and CloudFront across environments.
• Lead deployments on internal cloud hosting platforms and modernize applications.
• Drive test-driven development and automation pipelines (unit, contract, integration, E2E).
• Implement performance testing strategies and identify bottlenecks in distributed systems.
• Profile and optimize Java, Oracle, Tomcat, WebSphere, OpenShift environments.
• Support migration from legacy to cloud-native platforms.
• Contribute to PCI-compliant data handling and secure data lifecycle.
