Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support BaaS partner onboarding and platform enhancements. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, high-performance systems enabling embedded financial services across partner ecosystems, with emphasis on API and microservices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software engineering, strong Azure expertise (API Management, Cosmos DB, Key Vault), deep REST/OAuth2/OpenAPI knowledge, and a track record delivering in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 1 year in a technical leadership role.
• Strong skills across C#, .NET, SQL and secure, standards‑compliant software.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices with OAuth2/OpenAPI.
• Hands-on with Azure cloud services (API Management, SQL, Cosmos DB, Key Vault).
• Familiar with container tech, caching, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS and SOC 2 security standards.
• Ability to work in fast-paced Agile environments and ship iteratively.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop APIs and microservices for BaaS onboarding and integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Ensure SLA compliance and contribute to monitoring and alerting.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Create architectural and technical design documentation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for applicability and adoption.
• Refactor and extend codebases to fix defects and add features.
• Develop scalable systems with configurability over customization.
