Job summary

Amivero seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy full‑stack components for enterprise government IT systems. You will work with React, Java, Python, APIs, databases, and security-focused software to deliver scalable features and reliable services.

You will mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into robust solutions that meet program objectives and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree preferred.
• Experience levels range from Senior (5+ years) to SME (8+ years) in software development.
• Proficiency in React, Java, Python; API development and UI/UX principles; and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy front-end and back-end components.
• Integrate with APIs, databases, and external services to deliver secure features.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture, and security best practices.
• Troubleshoot, optimize performance, and maintain deployments via CI/CD.
• Document code and processes for team knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and mentor junior engineers.
