Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (full-time) in the United States to design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java and modern front-end frameworks.

You will collaborate with UI/UX designers, implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and ensure security is integrated throughout the development lifecycle, including CI/CD automation and cloud/IaaS deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering or related.
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as Full Stack Developer, Technical Lead, or related.
• Qualifying experience must include at least eight (8) years with Java; at least two (2) years with JavaScript; Angular; CI/CD Tools; IAAS and Github.

Overview

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using java and modern front-end frameworks.

Role

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Implement restful and graph ql apis, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Integrate security best practices into the development process, ensuring that security is considered at every stage, adhering to zero trust principles.
• Implement secure coding standards and conduct code reviews focusing on security vulnerabilities.
• Automate security scans within the ci/cd pipelines.
• Utilize ci/cd tools (e.g., jenkins, github actions) for automated testing and deployment.
• Automate infrastructure deployments using iaas solutions (e.g., aws, azure, google cloud) with tools like terraform or ansible.
• Implement containerization and orchestration using docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate application monitoring (e.g., prometheus, grafana) and logging solutions (e.g., elk stack) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

About You

• Position requires Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering or related and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as Full Stack Developer, Technical Lead, or related.
• Qualifying experience must include at least eight (8) years with the following: Java. Qualifying experience must include at least two (2) years of experience with each of the following: JavaScript; Angular; CI/CD Tools; IAAS and Github.
