Job summary

Element Solutions is seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise healthcare applications for CMS programs. You will build scalable backend services with Java/Spring, create modern web applications with Angular, and integrate with enterprise systems in an Agile environment.

The role requires strong RESTful API design, AWS cloud experience, and CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions and Jenkins. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building enterprise apps with Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, and Maven.
• Experience with Angular and JSP is preferred.
• Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases and SQL development.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus).
• Experience supporting CMS, HealthCare.gov, or federal healthcare programs is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required; must reside in the Continental US; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications for CMS programs.
• Build scalable back-end services and modern web UIs.
• Integrate with enterprise systems and partner APIs.
• Refactor for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and ensure documentation and quality standards.
