Textron Systems is seeking a Software Engineer III/IV to design, develop, and maintain software across C#, C++, Java, and Python. You will work with embedded hardware, GPUs, and FPGA interfaces while leading GUI development and integrating AI capabilities.

You will collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to define requirements, participate in proposals, and guide project planning to ensure on-time delivery and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; 5+ years for Level III, 10+ years for Level IV.
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Strong object-oriented design and modern software practices (CI, TDD, scalable systems).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership; experience mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications in C#, C++, Java, and Python.
• Work with embedded systems including microcontrollers, GPUs, and FPGA interfaces.
• Lead the development of user-friendly GUIs for complex systems; integrate AI features.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers in lab environments and with systems engineers to define requirements.
• Participate in proposals and support project planning, cost, schedule, and performance.
