Cribl is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Edge team to enhance Windows data collection and lifecycle management across enterprise environments. You will drive the Windows experience for Cribl Edge, while also contributing to Linux and macOS implementations.

The role emphasizes high‑quality, scalable software and collaboration with design, product, and other engineers. The ideal candidate has strong Windows internals expertise, TypeScript/Node.js experience, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Windows internals—services, registry, WMI, event logging, permissions models, and installer tech.
• Familiarity with cross‑platform OS fundamentals including memory management, CPU scheduling, filesystems, process lifecycles, and networking.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills, including Windows‑specific tooling (Event Viewer, Performance Monitor, procmon, WinDbg).
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Experience with TypeScript and Node.js, ideally as Windows services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with data‑intensive applications and data streams processing.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the Windows experience for Cribl Edge, including data sources and install/upgrade workflows.
• Design, build, and optimize data collection agents for Windows, Linux, and Mac.
• Collaborate with UX, Product, and engineers to translate requirements into high‑performing UX.
• Own the full development lifecycle—from design to testing and maintenance—delivering reliable code.
• Develop automated tests and Windows‑specific test plans for service lifecycle and permissions.
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotations and provide ongoing maintenance for SaaS products.
