Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking Software Development Engineers to build scalable services for EC2 Edge Core-Services. You will own features across the full software lifecycle and contribute high-quality code, documentation, and engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed environment and help lead fundamental changes at scale and speed.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality, maintainable code with comprehensive documentation.
• Mentor and coach team members on software engineering best practices.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for production issues.
