Job summary

RTX's Bike Shop in Tucson, AZ seeks a Software Engineer to contribute to fast-paced prototype development, delivering high-quality code under tight timelines. You will collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to design, build, integrate, and test early-stage solutions that demonstrate new capabilities and de-risk concepts.

Required are strong C/C++ skills and experience with Linux, MATLAB, Python, and DevOps tooling, plus ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant software experience.
• Experience in Java, Python, or C/C++ programming languages.
• Experience with real-time, platform, or low-level system concepts.
• Experience working within Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in modern C/C++ development and hands-on experience across Linux, MATLAB, DevOps tooling, and Python.
• Work closely with hardware and firmware engineers to solve technical challenges and deliver advanced capabilities.
• Travel is sometimes required but likely no more than 10%.
