Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Distributed Systems & Cloud) to contribute on our large PRIME contract. You will build scalable web apps with Node.js, TypeScript and Python, design microservices, and enable secure CI/CD in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Distributed systems and enterprise web apps experience.
• Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), DevOps, and IaC familiarity.
• Modern software engineering practices: VCS, testing, Agile.
• High-security development environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain large-scale distributed web apps using Node.js, TypeScript and Python.
• Architect scalable microservices and backend systems for high-performance data processing.
• Utilize DevOps automation and IaC to deploy/manage services in cloud environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate with security researchers to integrate engineering best practices.
• Partner with users and analysts to enhance tooling and mission capabilities.
