Job summary

NextEra Energy seeks a Sr Software Development Engineer for Digital Workplace Automation in Miami, FL. You will design, develop, and maintain internal software solutions, automation, integrations, and data platforms to improve delivery, reliability, and efficiency of Digital Workplace services.

The role blends software development with DevOps, cloud engineering, data engineering, and infrastructure automation across Google Cloud, AWS, ServiceNow, and enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps or cloud engineering.
• Strong Python development and scripting experience.
• Experience with REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Proficient with SQL and relational databases.
• Git-based source control and modern development practices.
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Automation for cloud/infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Codes in multiple languages to support software products.
• Develop and maintain Python-based apps and automation for infra management.
• Design and maintain integrations with enterprise platforms using REST APIs.
• Develop data pipelines and relational database solutions.
• Build automation for cloud and VDI platforms including Citrix DaaS and AWS WorkSpaces.
• Develop IaC and configuration automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
• Utilize GitHub Actions, CI/CD for reliable software delivery.
• Integrate with ServiceNow, Active Directory, and cloud providers.
• Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and testing in production.
• Troubleshoot complex tech issues across apps, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
