Design and build scalable backend systems, APIs, infrastructure, and developer tools—including AI-powered workflows that improve how Reddit engineers write, test, review, and ship software. Lead cross-team projects, integrate tools with existing engineering systems, incorporate internal user feedback, and mentor engineers while improving reliability, usability, and maintainability.

Requirements: Requires at least five years of professional software development experience, including three years working with large-scale distributed systems, strong production experience with Go, and experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering. Candidates should have experience building APIs and internal developer platforms, familiarity with Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure, hands-on use of AI developer tools, and a record of leading ambiguous projects, collaborating across teams, communicating effectively, and mentoring engineers.
