Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) seeks an experienced software engineering professional to lead design, development, and integration of advanced informatics solutions on strategic programs. You will mentor teams, drive process improvements, and align technology with mission needs.

The role emphasizes expert knowledge of SDLC, Agile methods, and enterprise systems integration, with responsibilities spanning API integrations, data migration, and automation to enhance efficiency and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related experience.
• Postgraduate coursework may be expected.
• Demonstrated history of successful customer partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security as a primary responsibility for all tasks.
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the team.
• Identify and address productivity impediments and promote process improvements.
• Devises logic procedures, flowcharts, and coding to design, develop, test and debug software.
• Design and implement data migration and system integration strategies.
• Design and implement automation strategies to improve efficiency and quality.
• Arrange and conduct meetings, workshops and presentations.
• Provide training and support to end users.
• Research industry practices and regulatory changes affecting information system policies.
• Apply Agile and Scrum project management methodologies; gather requirements and manage risk.
• Foster an inclusive work environment free from discrimination and harassment.
