Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to provide overight and advisory support for secure software solutions in support of AFLCMC/ESAW. The role may be remote or in Omaha, NE, with a focus on DevSecOps, SDLC, and secure software design for national defense systems.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of experience, US citizenship, Secret clearance, and a Bachelor’s degree, with strong Python, DevSecOps, and agile background. Travel to Offutt AFB and remote work options available.

Qualifications

15+ years of relevant experience to include: 5+ years supporting the DoW.
Citizenship: US citizen; Clearance: Secret; Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience with secure development practices and SDLC, and proficiency in agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance on design, architecture, and maintenance of secure software solutions delivered by development partners.
Govern DevSecOps implementation, ensuring automated security testing, code scanning, and vulnerability management in CI/CD pipelines.
Advise agile teams translating government requirements into robust technical designs and user stories.
Review architecture diagrams, system specs, and high-level technical documentation.
