Job summary

Software Engineering Services seeks a Junior Software Engineer to support the AFNWC/NPES at Offutt AFB, NE. You will join an Agile team performing requirements analysis, software development, testing, integration, and cybersecurity for mission-critical NPES systems.

You will assist in DT&E/OT&E activities, document technical requirements, and help ensure computing environment security. A TS/SCI clearance and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, CS, CE, IT, or related field.
• Knowledge of the SDLC and software engineering principles.
• Experience in development, coding, scripting, testing, systems analysis, or software integration.
• Familiarity with Agile development and user stories.
• Knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis for NPES and NPES interfaces.
• Support system architecture, requirements, and software design.
• Document, maintain, and trace NPES requirements.
• Collaborate in an Agile team on user stories and development.
• Assist with software development, testing, integration, and maintenance.
• Support DT&E/OT&E activities and test planning.
• Analyze operational impact of changes to NPES and related systems.
• Provide technical and user support for NPES systems.
• Assist with cybersecurity and compute environment security requirements.
