Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Armament Directorate Munitions Division at Hill AFB, UT. The role focuses on design, development, integration, and sustainment of software‑intensive systems across the full acquisition lifecycle.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.
• PhD with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 10 years, or Bachelor’s with 15 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle processes, requirements analysis, verification and validation.
• Ability to operate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Support DoW acquisition lifecycle activities from analysis through operations & support.
• Apply software engineering principles to design, development, integration and sustainment of software-intensive systems.
• Develop and review system specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
• Support technical reviews and program milestones (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR).
• Collaborate with program management, logistics, test and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated performance.
• Analyze system performance and identify improvements for reliability and maintainability.
