Job summary

Emerald AI is building real-time telemetry pipelines and control systems to optimize data-center power and compute resources. You will translate grid and infrastructure constraints into scalable software, owning projects end-to-end.

You’ll help shape system architecture as an early engineering hire, collaborating across teams to deliver end-to-end solutions from edge devices to the control plane.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in IT/OT environments.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Rust, Go or C/C++ for real-time systems.
• Hands-on experience building telemetry ingest pipelines and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with async messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Responsibilities

• Build software modules that interface with datacenters and power systems.
• Architect data ingest pipelines collecting high-frequency telemetry from meters, PDUs, UPS, cooling, and compute hardware.
• Design fault-tolerant integration layers between IT and OT systems and data modeling.
