Job summary

Broadcom seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver firmware and software for ultra-high-performance datacenter-scale solutions. You will own all aspects of a design, including ZephyrOS/OpenBMC firmware, drivers, embedded Linux/Yocto builds, and upper-level control software.

Qualifications

• Experience developing software in C/C++ for large-scale x86/ARM architectures, from firmware to rack management software.
• Proficiency with Linux/Yocto, OpenBMC, or ZephyrOS.
• Strong bring-up and debugging across silicon to system level.
• Experience writing software for low-level hardware interfaces (I2C, PMBus, AVSbus, MDIO, PCIe, SPI, USB, SERDES).
• Knowledge of Redfish and DMTF standards including MCTP, PLDM, SPDM.
• Understanding of Secure Boot, U-Boot, RoT concepts and related security workflows.
• Baseline knowledge of datacenter networking and NIC architectures.
• Lifecycle ownership across product inception to volume production.
• Ability to collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance and Sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Own all design aspects from firmware to upper-level control software in a datacenter-scale context.
• Assist with customer trials, field issue resolution, and ensuring product sustainability.
• Drive validation and automation efforts across the lifecycle of the product.
