Job summary

RevSpring in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Data Platform to build and improve core systems powering provider and location data management for health systems and insurers. You will contribute daily by writing code, solving complex problems, and collaborating with the team to deliver features that affect millions of patient interactions.

You will design PostgreSQL schemas, implement APIs and data services, and develop a React.js UI for administrators.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features within the core data platform that serves as the system of record for provider and location information across health systems and insurers.
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL schemas modeling healthcare entities with data from Epic, Cerner, Athena, and others.
• Build and improve APIs and data services for provider and location search, matching, and directory functionality.
• Implement entity resolution and data quality logic to deduplicate and reconcile records across sources.
• Develop modern React.js UI interfaces for administrators to view and manage data at scale.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate on technical direction with staff and principal engineers.
• Contribute to reliability by investigating production issues and improving platform resilience.

Senior Software Engineer – Data Platform

Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer on the RevSpring Team, the Software Engineer will build and improve the core systems that power provider and location data management for major health systems and insurance providers. The role is a key technical contributor—writing code daily, solving complex problems, and collaborating closely with the team to deliver features that affect millions of patient interactions.

Essential Functions

• Build and maintain features within the core data platform that serves as the system of record for provider and location information across major health systems and insurance providers.
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL schemas that model complex healthcare entities, working with data normalized from Epic, Cerner, Athena, and other EHR and data systems into a canonical data model.
• Build and improve the APIs and data services that downstream applications depend on for provider and location search, matching, and directory functionality.
• Implement entity resolution and data quality logic to deduplicate and reconcile provider and location records across disparate source systems.
• Build modern web‑based UI interfaces (React.js) that enable health system administrators to quickly view and manage their data at scale.
• Collaborate with staff and principal engineers on technical direction while mentoring more junior teammates.
• Contribute to system reliability by investigating production issues, participating in incident response, and improving resilience across the platform.

Minimum Requirements

Specific Job Skills

• Experience with TypeScript/React for frontend development.
• Hands‑on with Docker and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
• Experience dealing with messy, real‑world data and have opinions about how to clean it up.
