Job summary

LiveRamp is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the next generation of Data Marketplace capabilities. You will design, build, and scale core platform features across APIs, services, and user workflows.

You will lead software initiatives, drive architecture decisions for discovery, activation, monetization, and integrations, mentor teammates, and raise the bar on reliability, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong experience designing and delivering scalable distributed systems, APIs, and data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Go, Python.
• Experience working across modern application stacks, with the ability to contribute effectively to backend-heavy or full-stack projects.
• Strong ownership mindset with a track record of driving projects from concept to launch.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale core Data Marketplace capabilities across APIs, services, and user-facing workflows.
• Lead medium-to-large technical initiatives from design through production rollout, balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Drive architecture and implementation decisions for systems that support marketplace discovery, activation, monetization, and partner integrations.
• Improve reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence across production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate product requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Raise the engineering bar through thoughtful code reviews, strong testing practices, and clear technical documentation.
• Mentor other engineers, unblock teammates, and help the team make sound tradeoffs in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Contribute to the evolution of AI-forward marketplace experiences, including systems that improve automated discovery and access to premium data.
