Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent with substantial CS training.
• 5+ years developing software, preferably with a scientific/data focus.
• Strong understanding of 2+ modern languages, preferably Python and Javascript/Typescript.
• Experience delivering products with Python/JS frameworks and AWS data services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, enhance and review software solutions and data analysis tools.
• Apply best practices to distill product requirements into designs and tasks.
• Work closely with SMEs to build tools with data-driven decisions.
• Shape engineering culture with new ideas and best practices for faster time-to-market.
• Interface with scientists, engineers and management to deliver digital transformation.
• Own projects end-to-end from design to production and support.
• Provide code reviews and training to developers.
• Keep up with best practices and cloud-based data products.
