Job summary

SteelSeries, a global leader in gaming peripherals, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable cloud-based web experiences for gamers. You will work with hardware and software product teams to craft reliable, well-tested code in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years from full-stack software engineering, strong cloud expertise, and a passion for code quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in full-stack software engineering.
• Experience building scalable cloud solutions incl. containers and distributed systems.
• Experience designing web back ends and web UIs.
• Solid reliability/observability practices in production.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to share knowledge.
• Eagerness to continuously grow as an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Within 1 Month: Get up to speed with React-based web app in AWS containers.
• Within 1 Month: Ship a new feature in our cloud platform.
• Within 3 Months: Evaluate cloud architecture and plan improvements.
• Within 3 Months: Add features to web-based gamer experiences.
• Within 9 Months: Drive refactoring and maintain code quality.
• Within 9 Months: Explore new languages/frameworks and adoption.
