Job summary

enGen in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer to join an agile team responsible for building scalable software applications across digital channels. You will take an enterprise-wide architectural view and oversee technical execution of products using the stack that best fits the platform.

The role covers idea generation, business analysis, technical design, and development with modern technologies, including Claude Code or Google Gemini.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• 5 years proficiency in algorithms, data structures and design patterns for scalable systems.
• 5 years in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Experience with web services (REST/HTTPS/JSON) and multiple languages.
• Ability to translate design mockups into working applications and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and write code that adheres to standards; perform code reviews.
• Ideate and implement technical solutions while ensuring scalability and performance.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies and support sprint planning and execution.
• Drive story creation with DoD, Acceptance Criteria and estimation; manage tasks (RTC/Jira).
• Monitor progress and report issues to leads; mentor junior/mid engineers.
