Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable, cloud‑native applications and distributed systems across our platforms. You will design secure APIs and microservices, optimize data platforms, and implement CI/CD with containerization.

You will mentor junior developers and help shape Macy's technology strategy. You will work on enterprise‑grade solutions, using Java, Spring Boot, React, and GCP, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native architecture.
• Experience implementing automated CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Strong understanding of API management, cloud security, and integration patterns.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, high-performance APIs, microservices, and event‑driven solutions.
