Job summary

Floor & Decor seeks an experienced software engineer to develop and support Customer Order Management and Supply Chain applications. You will translate stakeholder needs into enterprise-grade solutions and collaborate across teams in a hybrid work setting.

The role emphasizes Java/Spring Boot on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend, with CI/CD, cloud deployment, and modern tooling. 6–10 years of software development experience is preferred, with strong emphasis on Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 6–10 years of software development/retail systems experience or equivalent
• Proven experience with Agile, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
• Backend with Java ecosystems (Spring Boot, modern Java 17/21)
• Frontend with React/TypeScript or Angular
• Container orchestration with Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
• Cloud deployment experience (Azure or GCP)
• SQL proficiency and DB experience (PostgreSQL/SQL Server)
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems knowledge
• Shell scripting and Linux command proficiency
• Strong unit testing and SDLC understanding
• Excellent communication and problem solving
• Ability to learn new tools and educate others
• Ability to translate tech specs for business stakeholders
• Comfort with multiple tech environments and GenAI awareness

Responsibilities

• Own full software development lifecycle: design, code, test, deploy
• Manage user issues and ticketing related to apps
• Identify risks and document upgrade and improvement recommendations
• Mentor teammates and guide practices within Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
• Lead deployments and post-release support windows
• Set programming guidelines with leads and managers
• Integrate new products into existing environments for continuous improvement
• Advocate and apply AI-assisted development tools
• Analyze data to resolve business issues
• Deliver high-quality customer-focused solutions
• Handle multiple projects across business units
