Job summary

BD is seeking Software Engineers to join the Pyxis ES Development team in a fast-paced Agile environment. The role emphasizes hands-on enterprise software development using Go or Java and modern web technologies, with a focus on scalable, high-quality solutions for healthcare.

Ideal candidates have experience with containerization, security/auth frameworks (TLS/PKI, OAuth 2.0), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL). Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM related field.
• 5 years of growing responsibility in R&D roles with coding experience (Java, C, C++, C#).
• Full stack engineering experience (Front-End + Back-End).
• Experience with multiple databases (MySQL, SQL Server, non-relational).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Perform software design and implementation, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Conduct software evaluation and testing of own and others’ software.
• Provide technical documentation for design, implementation and testing.
• Attend design reviews to adhere to procedures.
• Document and repair software errors.
• Support professional growth through educational programs and workshops.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete Product Engineering projects.
• Develop interpersonal relationships with peers and team members.
• Work with source control and project tracking tools (GitHub, JIRA).
