Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support the Missile Defense Agency Next Generation Software Office. The role focuses on accelerating and modernizing development, integration, and delivery of resilient software for complex systems.

Responsibilities include on-demand and cloud-based software development, HWIL testing, and API/interface document reviews. Collaboration across teams and potential leadership of projects are expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a STEM field with 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project.
• Experience with hardware in the loop and cloud-based testing to support software development and delivery.
• Experience in management and review of APIs and interface control documents for cloud-based and HWIL environments.
• Experience in artificial intelligence development and tooling for agentic operations.
• Ability to work independently, as a team member, or lead teams/tasks with engineering rigor.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering analysis to support development of on-demand and cloud-based software for system-of-systems development, integration, and testing.
• Design, development, and management of software libraries and Cloud-based software architectures and requirements.
