Job summary

Baird is seeking an experienced Software Developer to build and support the Baird Online web and mobile experiences used by PWM clients. You will contribute to front-end delivery with React/Next.js and integrate with .NET services, APIs and databases.

The role emphasizes Agile/Lean collaboration, DevOps culture and continuous learning, with a hybrid work setup in Milwaukee or Madison and strong emphasis on quality, security and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated software development experience with modern web apps
• Experience building and supporting .NET applications across multiple tiers
• Proficiency in React/Next.js, responsive UI, and accessibility considerations

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, refactor and enhance web/mobile features for Baird Online with minimal guidance
• Apply SOLID, DRY and SRP; build scalable frontend solutions using React/Next.js
• Diagnose issues, write tests, improve performance and accessibility
• Contribute to API, SQL and database integration within release processes
• Collaborate with IT, product owners and QA to deliver client-facing platforms
• Mentor interns or junior developers and support lifecycle best practices
• Contribute to architectural patterns including security, observability and modern tooling
