Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Clearing team. You will help build and scale post-trade infrastructure, focusing on reliability and scalability for US equities, options, and related products.

You will own end-to-end projects, design APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable new product offerings. The role offers growth in a fast-paced startup environment with strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building reliable and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Go, PostgreSQL and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Ability to lead projects in startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from ideation to deployment, resolving ambiguity and delivering necessary outcomes.
• Design and build systems enabling new products and revenue opportunities.
• Refine existing systems to improve meaningful outcomes.
• Contribute to on-call rotation to keep services healthy.
• Learn about domain-specific financial infrastructure and contribute insight.
