Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (CC) for a Cloud and Technology company in Morrisville, NC. The hybrid contract role will build tools to track certification status, milestones, risks, deliverables, lab activities, and program progress across Common Criteria evaluations.

The engineer will design and implement a web platform, dashboards, and workflows, integrating data from multiple systems and building RESTful APIs and backend services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience developing enterprise-level web applications.
• Strong programming in Python, TypeScript, and Go.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services.
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud; modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Experience with dashboards, reporting, workflow management, and analytics.

Piper Companies is looking to fill the role of Senior Software Engineer (CC) for a Cloud and Technology company located in Morrisville, NC. The Senior Software Engineer (CC) will build tools that enable stakeholders to track certification status, milestones, risks, deliverables, lab activities, and program progress across multiple Common Criteria evaluations. The Senior Software Engineer (CC) role is a hybrid contract position located in Morrisville, NC.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer (CC) Include:

• Designed, developed, and maintained a web-based platform to streamline the management of Common Criteria certification programs and related project activities.
• Created real-time dashboards and reporting solutions to monitor project status, certification milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and overall program health.
• Developed and automated workflows for tracking Security Targets (STs), Protection Profiles (PPs), evaluation activities, lab findings, certification progress, and issue resolution.
• Integrated data from internal systems, project management tools, document repositories, and reporting platforms to provide a centralized and accurate view of certification data.
• Engineered APIs and backend services to aggregate project and certification information, enabling automated notifications, stakeholder reporting, and actionable analytics.
• Collaborated with product managers, security teams, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to define requirements, drive architectural decisions, ensure system scalability and security, and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and best practices.

Qualifications for the Senior Software Engineer (CC) Include:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 7+ years of experience developing enterprise-level web applications.
• Strong programming expertise in modern languages such as Python, TypeScript, and Go, with a focus on scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services to support complex business applications.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Demonstrated ability to develop dashboards, reporting tools, workflow management systems, and analytics solutions that drive operational efficiency and visibility.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, Agile development methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Compensation for the Senior Software Engineer (CC) include:

• $130-$140/hr
• Contract
