Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (CC) for a Cloud and Technology company in Morrisville, NC. The hybrid contract role will build tools to track certification status, milestones, risks, deliverables, lab activities, and program progress across Common Criteria evaluations.

The engineer will design and implement a web platform, dashboards, and workflows, integrating data from multiple systems and building RESTful APIs and backend services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience developing enterprise-level web applications.
• Strong programming in Python, TypeScript, and Go.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services.
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud; modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Experience with dashboards, reporting, workflow management, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Designed, developed, and maintained a web-based platform to manage CC certification programs and activities.
• Created real-time dashboards and reports to monitor status, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and program health.
• Developed workflows for tracking STs, PPs, evaluation activities, lab findings, and certification progress.
• Integrated data from internal systems and tools to provide a centralized view of certification data.
• Built APIs and backend services to enable notifications, stakeholder reporting, and analytics.
• Collaborated with product managers, security teams, and stakeholders to define requirements and ensure scalable, secure systems.
