Lithic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Card Authorization team in a remote-first setting. You will write reliable, secure, scalable backend code powering real-time card authorization and fraud-prevention systems, with minimal tech debt.

You will build features like rules improvements, velocity controls, 3DS flows, fraud tooling, and monitoring; own projects from planning to launch; contribute to reliability and on-call rotation in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production backend systems.
• Experience or desire to learn Rust; ability to understand Lithic’s system written in other languages (Python, Java)
• Interest and experience in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity
• Comfort with remote async-first team across time zones
• Experience or interest in payments, fintech, fraud prevention.
