Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the Cloud Capacity team, driving scalable, efficient, and reliable infrastructure for our customers’ workloads. You’ll influence provisioning, pricing, and autoscaling strategies alongside product and finance leaders.

Bring 7+ years building production software in Go/Java, strong cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), and hands-on Kubernetes expertise to optimize cost and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure spanning cloud compute, storage, and networking.
• Strong product and operational intuition for cloud costs, utilization, and forecasting.
• 7+ years building production software in Go, Java, or similar languages.
• Hands-on with container orchestration technologies and related tooling.
• Ability to influence executives and finance through clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical vision and roadmap for Temporal’s Cloud Capacity systems with leadership alignment.
• Design and implement infrastructure to track resource utilization, forecast consumption, and automate capacity planning at scale.
• Lead development of a resource manager that optimizes infrastructure efficiency based on usage and costs.
• Collaborate with Product, Cloud Infrastructure, and Finance on provisioning, pricing, and scaling decisions.
• Guide long-term strategy for autoscaling, workload isolation, and multi-tenant performance.
