Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Software Engineer/Developer III to join the DEM IT team. Under general supervision, you will analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions SIS and its integrations to support a sustainable institutional technology infrastructure.

• Extensive experience with Oracle PeopleSoft application development
• Expertise in PeopleTools technologies (e.g. Application Engine, PeopleCode, Integration Broker, SQR)

Responsibilities

• QA reviews application modules for quality assurance and checks compliance with architecture standards.
• Conducts analysis for the evaluation and selection of vendor software solutions and packages.
• Leads sub-functional team for application development or enhancement.
• Reviews design specifications, codes new applications, and enhances existing ones.
• Contributes to data structure and systems performance strategies.
• Trains and provides technical guidance to lower level staff.
• Unique Responsibility - Meet documented Office of the Registrar standards and be responsive to underserved groups.
• Designs and implements test plans and prepares system test data.
• Prepares program documentation and training requirements.
• Develops or modifies technical specifications for complex projects, system integrations, and upgrades.
• Conducts systems analysis and designs for integration and upgrades.
