Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineer (C#), you will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining core features of our cloud-based services in the areas of payroll, taxes, and accounting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and leverage your expertise in .NET and cloud technologies to create robust, scalable solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Our core business includes the legally compliant transmission of notifications to health insurance companies, tax authorities, and banks.
Your ResponsibilitiesFeature Development: Build new features, services, and fix bugs in our cloud-based applications
Backend Architecture: Design and implement scalable backend systems
Hands-on Coding: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient .NET / ASP.NET code
Microservices: Build and maintain microservices
DevOps & Azure: Use CI/CD pipelines and Azure services to streamline deployments
Code Quality & Testing: Apply clean code principles and perform unit, integration, and E2E tests
You build it – you run it: Take responsibility for operating and monitoring your services
Teamwork & Ownership: Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering – taking ownership beyond your own code and seeing the bigger picture
System Optimization: Improve DB queries and backend performance
Requirements:
Degree: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Experience: 5+ years in backend development with C#
Technical Stack:
Strong experience and knowledge of C#, .NET / ASP.NET
Strong understanding of architecture, microservices, API design
Azure cloud & DevOps experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Proficient in testing frameworks like xUnit, NUnit
Languages: Fluent in English and German
Soft Skills: High code quality mindset, problem solver, hands-on attitude, strong communicator
