Job summary

CyberCoders seeks a Senior Software Engineer in the Davis, CA area to design, build and maintain scalable back-end services and front-end integration using C#/.NET and TypeScript/React. You will own components across services, drive architecture, mentor engineers, and contribute to AI-enabled healthcare applications while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

You will collaborate with product and clinical stakeholders, implement secure coding practices, and participate in CI/CD, testing and on-call

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem including APIs and services.
• Proficient in TypeScript and modern JS frameworks; React is a plus.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Experience with SQL databases and data modeling.
• Healthcare domain concepts and HIPAA familiarity desired.
• Experience integrating AI/ML tooling and LLMs; knowledge of RAG and agentic AI helpful.
• Secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and data privacy.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and debugging production systems.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain server-side apps and APIs using C#/.NET for performance and security.
• Develop and maintain front-end features with TypeScript/JavaScript (React).
• Architect end-to-end solutions including data access and business logic with SQL.
• Collaborate with product/design/clinical teams to translate requirements into designs.
• Apply secure development practices to protect PHI and HIPAA compliance.
• Integrate AI features like LLMs, RAG and agentic AI; evaluate trade-offs and safety.
• Ensure code quality via tests, reviews, pair programming, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and set technical direction.
• Investigate production issues, capacity planning and on-call involvement.
• Lead technical evaluations, PoCs and vendor selection for AI/data components.
