About The Role

As a Senior Engineer on the Platform Services team, you will focus on our critical ingestion system. You’ll balance enabling product requirements with advancing our platform to collect more data at higher scales. You’ll work closely with our Chief Architect to ensure readiness for future growth.

We move quickly and aim for bold solutions. You understand that sometimes the common way isn’t the best, and you want to innovate. You’ll need to learn swiftly, fail fast, communicate often, pivot gracefully, grow from mistakes, and iterate.

Responsibilities

1. Focus on the ingestion system: add features, fix bugs, improve performance and scalability.
2. Help build the platform that powers the Quantum experience when not working on ingestion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional C++ experience
• Experience with high throughput ingest/data systems
• Database knowledge; BigQuery preferred
• Cloud computing experience
• Minimum 2 years SQL experience
• Experience with GoLang

Nice to Have:

• Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, Pulsar)
• Familiarity with GCP and its products
