Job summary

cmsprep is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Austin. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers.

Requirements include 5+ years, proficiency in PHP, Python, Node.js, JavaScript, React, SQL, REST APIs, and familiarity with AWS, Docker, Git, and CI/CD. You will mentor junior engineers and help shape engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in PHP, Python, Node.js, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
• Experience with React or another modern frontend framework.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experience with REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications and backend services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance.
