Job summary

Steadily in Austin, TX is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build web applications and service oriented architecture for our core stack. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Austin.

You will work on making insurance claims simple, rating engines for pricing, and integrating property intelligence APIs. The stack includes Python, Kotlin, TypeScript, React, Django, FastAPI, Postgres, Kafka, AWS, and CI/CD; strong collaboration and fast delivery are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience building web applications and service oriented architectures.
• Ability to dive into a complex codebase with minimal ramp-up time.
• Past team leadership is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new languages/frameworks quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build an experience for people to buy insurance that is simple and intuitive across devices.
• Create a way for customers to document damage to streamline claims processing.
• Design rating engines for pricing insurance policies.
• Combine property intelligence API sources to flag risks such as flood or vandalism.
