Job summary

FIS Management Services, LLC in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Software Engineer Senior for Global Banking Technologies to develop and maintain Java applications and APIs, ensuring secure, high-volume processing and regulatory compliance.

You will execute full-cycle development, contribute to batch-processing and real-time services with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Spring Batch, and collaborate with product, DevOps, QA, and operations across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: developing technology solutions for global banking/ U.S. financial institutions, including secure, and high volume transaction systems
• Designing and developing scalable, reliable software solutions using Java/Python programming languages within distributed-system architectures
• Building large-scale batch-processing and real-time services using Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Spring Batch to support secure, high-volume workloads in financial institution platforms
• Collaborating with cross functional teams including development, product, DevOps, and operations to support issue analysis, release, and production rollouts for global banking or financial-institution systems
• Debugging systems and conduct performance optimization to improve throughput, reduce latency, and ensure high availability for mission critical enterprise platforms
• Applying data structures and algorithms to support high-volume, real-time processing workloads
• Leveraging cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, & GCP to design scalable architectures, automate CI/CD pipelines, and ensure resilient, available environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications and APIs for Global Banking Technologies in Jacksonville, FL, ensuring secure, high-volume processing and regulatory compliance.
• Execute full-cycle development tasks: coding, testing, debugging, and deployment across multiple environments; provide L3 support for production issues.
• Build large-scale batch-processing and real-time services using Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Spring Batch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support issue analysis, releases, and production rollouts across environments.
• Perform performance optimization to improve throughput and reduce latency; ensure high availability of mission-critical platforms.
• Conduct root-cause analysis using logs and monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk) and apply hotfixes while validating in lower environments.
