Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior Java developer to deliver complex requirements and enable scalable backend services. The role focuses on building maintainable architectures, APIs, and microservices with strong input on testing and CI/CD practices.

You will mentor peers, refine stories, and implement robust solutions in a collaborative, in-office setting with opportunities to grow and contribute to impactful fintech projects.

Qualifications

• 7 years of applicable experience in software development.
• Experience with Core Java and Java SE (8/11/17+).
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with microservices and cloud architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot.
• Experience with testing practices and automated test suites.

Responsibilities

• Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per defined acceptance criteria and compliance.
• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, interfaces, and solution enablers while maintaining architectural integrity.
• Mentors other software engineers and coaches team on CI/CD practices and automating tool stacks.
• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work for delivery lifecycle.
• Performs spike/proof of concept to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automates manual release activities.
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
