Job summary

Collaborate with algorithm engineers, product managers, and frontend developers to deliver reliable backend systems, while mentoring juniors and adopting modern design patterns and testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in NodeJS 10.0 and above.
• Experience with ExpressJs, NestJs or equivalent framework.
• Knowledge of parallel and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with NoSQL DB, preferably DynamoDB.
• Experience with Lambda.
• Experience in OOP, design patterns, and unit testing patterns.
• Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience in code review, inspections, and Git usage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

We are seeking a strong Node.js Engineer to join our Labs team in Dallas.

This is a backend-focused engineering role requiring solid programming fundamentals, system design skills, and experience building scalable, high-performance APIs and services.

You will work closely with algorithm engineers, product managers, and frontend developers to build reliable backend systems that support complex optimization workflows and real-time operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Determines technical feasibility of medium to low complexity features or solutions by evaluating the problem, customer requirements, possible solutions, and technology requirements.
• Exercises judgment in prioritizing tasks and selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Creates a low-level design of modules of a software application through proper documentation and diagrams.
• Develops software solutions by studying requirements, clarifying customer/user needs, analyzing data and processes, and following established software development practices and processes.
• Updates and shares knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing technology.
• Guides junior team members about coding and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Should be proficient in the following areas of NodeJS 10.0 and above
• Experience with the.framework like ExpressJs, NestJs or equivalent
• Parallel and Asynchronous programming
• Should have experience in NoSQL DB, preferably DynamoDB.
• Should have worked on Lambda
• Should have design skills - particularly OOPs and Proficiency in Design Patterns, Unit testing patterns
• Understanding of Algorithms and Data structures.
• Experience in Requirement/Design/Code Review & Inspections
• Hands-on experience with using Git (handling branching and merging)
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Domain Driven Design
• Worked on Event based architecture
• ES6/7, Node, package management /webpack/parcel.
