About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the designing and building of a highly scalable, cloud-native SaaS application. This is a hands-on technical position where you'll contribute to the product from vision to execution, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This position requires 10 or more years of professional software engineering experience.

What You'll Do:

• Architecture & Development: Modernize a legacy .NET Framework system to a .NET 10-based architecture. Design and implement cloud-native services within a distributed system, adhering to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles. Conduct data modeling and relational database schema design for core domain models. Implement RESTful APIs with OpenAPI-compliant specifications.
• Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical leader within your team, guiding architectural decisions and mentoring junior developers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with the Jobba product team and customers to understand requirements and implement them as working software.
• Agile & CI/CD: As a team member you will actively participate in the Agile software development lifecycle. You will contribute to test automation, define and develop infrastructure-as-code, and ensure robust, automated builds and deployments at an enterprise scale.

• A Hands-On Developer: You are a highly skilled, hands-on developer with a strong foundation in object-oriented design and development.
• A Technical Leader & Communicator: You have a history of leading enterprise-scale technical initiatives and are an effective teacher, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• A Pragmatic Problem-Solver: You understand and apply Agile principles in a pragmatic way and have a track record of learning and implementing new software development practices, tools, and languages.

Skills & Experience We Value:

Required Experience:

• .NET 8 or above.
• .NET Framework 4.8, WCF, and Entity Framework 6.
• Proficiency in C#.
• Relational databases and SQL.
• Cloud architecture and development.
• Implementing distributed systems incorporating Docker, Kubernetes, and related cloud infrastructure.
• Azure messaging stack (e.g. Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Event Grid).
• Distributed messaging patterns (e.g. Saga, Outbox, CQRS, and Event Sourcing).
• Observability tooling (e.g., Datadog, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry).
• Infrastructure-as-code tools and modern source control and build systems such as Terraform, GitHub, and GitHub Actions, respectively.
