Job summary

Proxify is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join a high-growth client team as a core backend architect. You will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade applications, building distributed, high-throughput systems and ensuring secure, scalable backend infrastructure with cloud-native capabilities.

You will bring 6+ years of backend experience with C#/.NET, build scalable Web APIs, and leverage EF Core, Azure/AWS services, microservices, and DDD.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional backend experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem (6/8/9).
• Advanced proficiency in building scalable Web APIs with middleware, filters, and DI.
• Mastery of Entity Framework Core including performance tuning, migrations, and complex SQL Server schemas.
• Solid experience with cloud services (Azure or AWS), serverless functions, messaging queues (Service Bus), and containers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement robust, maintainable backend services from scratch.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize memory usage and query execution times.
• Lead peer code reviews and establish coding standards for long-term health.
• Partner with Product Owners and Frontend Engineers to define technical requirements and API specs.
• Work with DevOps to manage deployment pipelines and ensure smooth releases.

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join one of our high-growth client teams as a core backend architect. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level applications, moving beyond simple CRUD operations to build complex, high-throughput distributed systems. You will be the technical engine behind the client’s product evolution, ensuring that their backend infrastructure is not only performant and secure but also prepared for the latest cloud-native advancements. What we are looking for:

• 6+ years of professional experience in backend development, with deep expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 6/8/9).
• Advanced proficiency in building scalable Web APIs, including custom middleware, filter pipelines, and dependency injection.
• Mastery of Entity Framework Core, including performance tuning, migrations, and handling complex relational schemas in SQL Server.
• Solid experience with Azure services (or AWS equivalents), particularly in serverless functions, message queues (Service Bus), and containerization.
• Proven experience with Microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and event-driven architectures.
• A strong "test-first" mindset with experience in xUnit/nUnit and Moq for comprehensive unit and integration testing.
• Strong verbal and written English; comfortable leading technical discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Time zone: CET (+/- 3 hours). We are unable to consider applications from candidates in other time zones.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Dapr or other microservices runtimes.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or CosmosDB.
• Knowledge of Frontend frameworks (React or Angular) to facilitate better API contracts.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect).
