Job summary

Scientific Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance autonomous vehicle and uncrewed systems software. You will architect and implement multi-vehicle autonomy in complex environments, contribute to AI/ML programs for autonomous flight, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-ready systems.

You will work in a hybrid environment with travel for remote tests and the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Math, Science, Engineering, CS, OR Data Science.
• 4+ years of software development/R&D experience in AI for robotics or autonomous systems.
• Experience building modular, production-quality autonomy software.
• Experience with C/C++, Python; memory-safe languages desired.
• Familiarity with modern software tool chains (Git, Jira/Confluence, CI/CD, etc.).
• Desirable: DoD or robotics data-link standards knowledge; navigation algorithms familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop advanced software for multi-vehicle autonomy in contested environments.
• Design, implement and test autonomy software for embedded uncrewed systems.
• Present technical results to internal/external customers.
• Integrate existing work into a unified software architecture.
• Travel to remote test events may be required; security clearance needed.
