Job summary

Radical AI is seeking a generalist software engineer for their New York City lab. This role involves building the core platform for their autonomous lab, focusing on backend services, infrastructure, and observability.

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of production software engineering experience; strong enough to design, build, and ship end-to-end.
• Fluency in Go and/or Python; additional stack experience (TypeScript, Rust) is welcome.
• Deep comfort with distributed systems: timeouts, retries, idempotency, and safe rollback.

Responsibilities

• Building core platform components for our autonomous lab.
• Working across a deeply cross-disciplinary domain including robotics and ML.
• Ensuring software controls and monitors physical systems reliably.
